Mark Needham
How long have you worked for The Formal House?
Well, I started working for our family business in the summer of 1979. Over the years I have seen colored tuxedos, ruffled shirts and velvet bow ties give way to the elegant formalwear of today.
What's your favorite part of your job?
That's a tough one as I am involved in all aspects of the business. I guess my favorite would be helping couples choose their tuxedo (or suit) styles and colors for their wedding day. But, I do enjoy my work in the back room. I actually tailor all the tuxedos myself and assist in getting them put together for the Bride & Grooms "big day".
What advice would you tell a prospective Bride and Groom when it comes to men's formalwear?
For me, that's pretty simple. Check out your local options before choosing the rental shop you intend to work with. Most all other shops have literally zero inventory on hand, that's means nothing to try on. That also means nothing to fix a last minute problem if it should arise either! We have over 4000 tuxedos in our back room.
So if your not at work, what do you like to do in your spare time?
Mmmm, well I enjoy my sports cars or maybe a nice long ride on my Harley during the warm weather. Seems I always have a project going on, I'm not really one to just sit around.
